We’ve handpicked every fabric to deliver the perfect blend of beauty, comfort, and long-term performance. Our upholstery is crafted from commercial-grade materials that don’t just feel luxurious — they’re built to last. Each fabric is rigorously tested for UV resistance (to prevent fading), non-pilling, washability, and overall durability. While some fabrics may look good at first, many don’t hold up over time. Ours do — combining aesthetic appeal with industry-leading performance. We’re also proud to use OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified fabrics, meaning they’re free from harmful chemicals often found in conventional upholstery — a detail many retailers ignore, but we never compromise on.
We use sustainably sourced Larch hardwood throughout our designs to create strong, long-lasting frames that are as durable as they are environmentally conscious. Each timber is kiln-dried before construction, enhancing its strength and stability for the demands of everyday life. Every joint is double-doweled and corner-blocked — because we never cut corners. It’s this level of craftsmanship that ensures each piece isn’t just furniture, but a timeless investment you’ll love for generations.

The Cloud Range is meticulously handcrafted with a robust base frame built using 12-gauge steel sinuous (non-sag) springs and three layers of high-density, non-sag foam. This ensures long-term structural integrity and consistent seating performance. Seat cushions are filled with 100% ethically sourced down, providing a luxuriously soft, sink-in feel that defines the Cloud Range’s signature comfort — and contributes to its enduring popularity. Other retailers may cut corners and use cheaper fibres and foam to fill their cushions, we take pride in using the best materials possible to ensure the highest standard of furniture.

The Original Cloud Classic features a distinctive blend of 70% RDS-certified down and 30% blown polyester fiber. This signature fill—handcrafted and exclusive to Banana Home—delivers a cloud-like seating experience while offering the structural support expected from a high-quality sofa. Unlike mass-produced alternatives, our cushions are substantially heavier with more fill and the correct ratios for the best experience, thoughtfully composed using premium down and fiber to ensure lasting comfort and durability for years to come. Cheap knock offs do exist, but we can be sure they won't last.
Three layers of high-density foam are applied around the frame and key surface areas of the Cloud Sofa, enhancing its structural resilience and long-term integrity. The Cloud Classic also incorporates 12-gauge steel non-sag springs, ensuring the frame retains its shape and support without sagging over time.
While all of our pieces are handmade, we do carry stock, so not every order requires a production time. Depending on your selection, some items may be ready for immediate dispatch, while others may have a lead time based on their build.
In-Stock Orders
If you’re located in a capital city, in-stock items typically arrive within 2–14 business days. For regional areas, delivery generally takes 10–25 business days. If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out — our team is always happy to assist.
Out-of-Stock / Custom-Made Orders
Custom and made-to-order pieces take approximately 12–14 weeks to manufacture. Our Custom Order Program gives you access to our best designs, tailored specifically for your home, at trade-direct pricing. Each piece is handcrafted in-house by a team of 12 skilled artisans, ensuring direct control over quality, comfort, and pricing. Once your order is placed, production begins immediately with careful attention to every detail.

If your item is in stock, delivery can be as quick as 24-48 hours from the time you place your order.
For pre-order items, delivery times will be indicated on the Delivery Estimated window at the top of this page. If you are ordering something that is custom made, we require around 12 to 14 weeks to complete production. All custom orders require a 15% deposit to initiation the production process and the balance is due just before delivery.
